SALT REDUCTION

TASTENOSALT. Yeast extracts enriched with nucleotides.

The excessive consumption of sodium is one of the key factors in the development of arterial hypertension (HTN)

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a maximum intake of 5g of salt per day. The major institutions: FAO, WHO, EU. As well as many national governments are taking actions aimed at educating consumers and manufacturers about the need to limit the level of salt in foodstuffs.

Through the use of Natural Yeast Extracts, projects were carried out in ABN’s R&D centre on salt reduction in food with results that were both excellent and represented good value for money for all interested parties. These types of projects are based on a detailed study of the food product as well as its formulation, to find the optimum quantity and combination of yeast extracts.
