The yeasts, such as the Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, provide many basic nutrients and liberate a group of enzymes that multiply the digestive and fermenting activity. This allows for a more efficient digestion and full use of the nutrients in the food. The yeasts stimulate the animal to eat more food and influence in the pH regulation and the flora in the intestinal tract.
