ABN took part in Intersicop 2011, the Bakery, Pastry and Related Industries Show, which was held between the 24th and 28th March. We would like to thank all of you who visited and supported us and to take the opportunity to share some photos from the event with you in this post.
Here at ABN we can’t complain about the reception this event has received, which has enabled us to demonstrate new trends in Functional Ingredients and our particular view of the food market – especially as it relates to pastries and breads. It concerns, as we have seen over the last few years, a constantly changing market, and where we have positioned ourselves with an emphasis on the needs of all our clients. We have looked for solutions for each one of them. Every client is different and here at ABN we try to get that across.

We believe in win-win situations: if our clients win so do we. Therefore, the more competitive and innovative we are, the more our clients will be likewise. This creates a virtuous circle which benefits everybody and is valued by the end consumer.
Our aim is to provide tailor-made solutions and, to do so, we have established an R&D Centre where, for over a year now, we have worked on the creation of high performance products which satisfy the needs of our clients and the end consumer. These include products rich in marine Omega-3, products without preservatives, low-salt products and products high in fibre.

This major investment in R&D starts with the determination and analysis of our clients’ needs, which is the basic principle of any project.
The R&D centre starts like this: the development of the project and the detailing of each and every test carried out. Once the goals have been set, a detailed Final Report is drawn up along with blind tests on target consumers, where the most relevant aspects of the product obtained are shown.
Samples of the product are prepared and packaged and, along with the Final Report, handed to the client for his appraisal. If they meet his expectations, as we trust they will, the industrial testing can begin.
All of this remains within the remit of ABN and involves no cost to the client. Would you like to give it a go? Leave yourselves in our hands. It’s no longer necessary to invest in people, costs and time for innovation because…
…You choose what and ABN tells you how.
